Surface Quality of Carbide Metal After Electrical Discharge Machining

Recently, the requirements for machining shape-complex products made of hard-to-machine materials, including carbide, have been increasing significantly. However, their is rather problematic. Additionally, a high-quality standard machined surface generally required, not only in terms roughness but also geometric accuracy surface. All this while maintaining high level economy process. meeting these demanding real technical practice always an easy task. Moreover, combination with modern processes, limited number production technologies can meet requirement. Therefore, due to demands placed on today's and required surface, progressive EDM technology increasingly finding its application. And it through that possible achieve relatively good success carbide machining. The aim paper was therefore describe detail results experimental investigation aimed at identifying quality achieved parameters electrical discharge selected types carbides using wire tool electrode.
